>A Pretty Little Love Song

>I don’t know how much longer I can stay.

How many times have you heard this from me?

This would be the point where you tell me how much you love me but I know better than to expect this from you.
Your love is no good locked up but it is the dance.

For a couple of days you are sweet and tender kissing me softly when you leave but then
you stop.

Your face turns cold. Your heart still. Your eyes distant.

The coming and going of your love hurts me too much. It is like tasting something you could never tire of to only get it taken away again and again
and again.

Am I speaking of you or me…?

I’ve given us so much, yet after I leave I will discover it wasn’t enough.

I will entangle with another but yet you will remain.

I don’t know what to do.

Sing me a love song. A pretty little love song.

Tell me what is deep in your heart.

But when you do confiscate the tongue.
Instead I want to see your eyes light up when I enter the room.

Will I do the same for you?

The answer is why I cannot stay.
